The karambit is a Southeast Asian knife design modeled after the big cats of Indonesia. However, the traditional design leaves out one of the coolest features of a big cat’s claw–its retractability.
Schrade nails a claw’s retractability with the SCH110 folding karambit. This all-black karambit comes with a 5.85-inch blade folding blade made from 9Cr18MoV stainless steel, an easy-to-sharpen and corrosion-resistant alloy. The hawkbill blade uses dual thumb studs to engage with either hand and jimping extends from the handle to the spine for greater control.
Textured G10 handle scales are contoured for a reliable grip in forward and reverse positions. Like all karambits, the SCH111 comes with a finger ring that allows for different gripping options.
The liner-locking folder comes with a one-position pocket clip.
