Whether you’re batoning wood for a stove or making kindling for a fire in the woods, the only tool you should reach for is the Schrade SCHF64 Froe.
Designed by PreparedMind101’s Chris Tanner as the ultimate wood-processing tool, the Froe features an 8.5-inch blade made from 1070 carbon steel, an alloy known for its exceptional toughness and shock resistance. This makes it ideal for chopping through pieces of wood without feeling guilty about torturing your knife.
Complementing the blunt tip blade is a black thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) handle with a lanyard hole. This froe also includes a polyester belt sheath that keeps the knife secure with a Velcro strap and a leg strap.
The SCHF64 Froe is one of those dedicated tools everyone should have at the campsite or by the hearth.
